The Membership Model
Our community operates on a foundation of trust and direct support. To keep administrative costs low and ensure your contributions go directly to those in need, we utilize a decentralized funding model.
- Administrative Fee: A nominal membership fee of $1.00 per month covers the operational costs, including bill review and platform maintenance.
- Monthly Contribution Cap: Your maximum commitment for medical assistance is capped at $30.00 per month.
Benefit Phasing
To ensure the long-term sustainability of the community, the percentage of a medical bill covered by the RAC increases based on the length of your membership. Coverage increases by 11% annually until it reaches 100%.
- Year 1: 25% Coverage
- Year 2: 36% Coverage
- Year 3: 47% Coverage
- Year 4: 58% Coverage
- Year 5: 69% Coverage
- Year 6: 80% Coverage
- Year 7: 91% Coverage
- Year 8: 100% Coverage
Funds & Payments
Unlike traditional systems, the RAC does not hold your medical assistance funds. You remain in control of your money until it is needed by another member.
The Notification System
When a member submits a verified medical bill, you will receive a notification requesting a micro-payment (a portion of your $30 monthly cap) to be sent directly to the member in need.
Member Responsibility
If you do not receive a notification, you are responsible for holding onto that month's $30.00 cap in your reserved funds. This ensures accumulated reserves are ready when a large bill arrives.
To maintain trust, the RAC provides a community ledger. This ledger tracks all payments made toward medical bills, allowing you to see the impact of your contributions while maintaining the privacy of our members.
